Bringing Light Across Generations
At the Jackie Lou Foundation, we believe that compassion knows no age—and that even the smallest hands can make a mighty impact. Our Jackie Lou Jr. Volunteers program invites school-age children and youth to join us in bringing joy, companionship, and connection to seniors in our community.
This is more than volunteer service—it's a multi-generational movement. Through shared stories, laughter, creativity, and kindness, our young volunteers and senior friends build meaningful bonds that brighten lives on both sides. Whether it’s reading a book, playing a game, making crafts, or simply sitting and listening, each moment spent together is a chance to grow, to learn, and to love.
Why It Matters
Loneliness and isolation can weigh heavily on our seniors. By pairing them with vibrant young volunteers, we foster:
Our Jr. Volunteers learn empathy, respect, and responsibility. They witness firsthand the power of kindness, and develop into the next generation of compassionate leaders.
Who Can Join
Jackie Lou Jr. Volunteers is open to school-age children and their families who want to serve together and make a difference. No experience is necessary—just a loving heart and a willingness to listen and connect.
Together, We Light the Way
As part of the Jackie Lou Foundation, a nonprofit, faith-based organization, this program reflects our core belief: that every person, young or old, has a light within them—and when we come together, that light shines even brighter.
Come join the Jackie Lou Jr. Volunteers and be a part of something beautiful. One visit, one smile, one story at a time—we are bringing light to seniors and building bridges across generations.
